Earn & Learn 2015

Earn & Learn is the City of Milwaukee’s youth development and employment initiative. The program provides employment opportunities in the city for high school youth and young adults, exposing them to the working world and improving workforce preparedness.

Students: learn how to apply for a summer job.
Businesses: learn how you can hire a student this summer.

Compete Milwaukee Transitional Job Program 

Compete Milwaukee

In 2015, the City of Milwaukee will partner with the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board (MAWIB) and UMOS (United Migrant Opportunity Services) to fund 135 transitional jobs for long-term unemployed men and women to get immediate work to support themselves and their families while seeking unsubsidized work.

STRONG Homes Loan Program

Partially Forgivable Loans for Emergency & Essential Home Repairs

The STRONG Homes Loan Program offers partially forgivable loans to homeowners throughout the City of Milwaukee. Loans can be used to make emergency and essential home repairs and address building code orders. Loans are repayable, with a deferred payment option available for homeowners who are low income and elderly or disabled.

MKE Mobile 

MKE Mobile - Now Available

With a few clicks, residents can report, photograph and provide documentation to ensure that neighborhood issues can be resolved quickly. Timely reports allow the proper city authorities to promptly address issues including abandoned vehicles, missed collections, graffiti and potholes.

MKE Mobile is free and accessible to all Milwaukee residents:
