The City of Milwaukee will take requests for special pick up of flood damaged debris through the end of the day Friday, June 20th. Call 286-CITY (2489) to request a pickup. The Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Section has responded to 2,740 calls for flood debris removal since June 9, 2008. The 4 cubic yard rule was suspended to assist residents with clean-up efforts of removing damaged items from their basements. Five hundred and sixteen tons of debris has been collected to date.
Department of Neighborhood Services and Sanitation Inspectors will resume nuisance garbage inspections sometime the week of June 23rd.
