US Census Bureau Job Opportunity

Milwauke County Courts self-help clinics available to all residents

Are you representing yourself in court? Do you need help understanding court procedures or filling out paperwork?  Milwaukee County operates a Family Law Clinic and a Small Claims Clinic.  Lawyers, legal professionals and students are available to answer questions about how the court works, help with paperwork, provide information on how to get a case scheduled, and make referrals to other providers of civic legal aid.  Click here for more information.

 

County Clerk Now Sells DNR Licenses and Permits

Milwaukee County Clerk Joseph J. Czarnezki announced that the County Clerk’s office is now a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) license sales agent.  Wisconsin fishing, hunting, trapping and harvesting licenses, as well as other DNR licenses and permits will be available for purchase (with cash only, please) Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in Room 105 of the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Home Ownership Made Affordable II Project
Housing Resource, Inc. (HRI) is recognized as Milwaukee's largest homeownership service provider successfully working with the most diverse populations to purchase and maintain their homes. Through a collaboration with serveral banks, HRI has received grant funds to  provide down payment and closing cost assistance to 60 first-time home buyers in the Milwaukee and Racine County in the amount of $6,000 per household.  For more information on the Home Ownership Made Affordable II Project, call Housing Resource, Inc. at (414) 461-6330.
