Senior Fitness Centers

Focus on FITNESS at 50+

Seniors can participate in health and fitness programs at five fitness centers staffed by professionals and paraprofessionals from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee College of Health Sciences – Department of Human Movement Science. 

Fitness center staff have expertise working with older adults in a fitness setting. Fitness centers are equipped with state of the art, senior friendly equipment designed to help older adults improve strength and flexibility and maintain optimal fitness despite any associated conditions.

Washington Park Senior Center
4420 W. Vliet Street - Milwaukee

Clinton and Bernice Rose Senor Center
3045 N. Martin Luther King Drive - Milwaukee 

Chester W Grobschmidt Senior Center                  
2424 15th Ave. - South Milwaukee

Wilson Park Senior Center
2601 W. Howard Ave. - Milwaukee

OASIS Senior Center
2414 W. Mitchell St. - Milwaukee

Fitness Center Programs are funded by Milwaukee County and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee College of Health Sciences. Grants from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. , provide additional funds.
   
The Aging Resource Center's Community Outreach Team visits senior centers on a regular basis to help seniors with problem solving and discuss issues related to:

  • Health
  • Long term care
  • Emergency support
  • Legal or money matters                           
  • Caring for a loved one
  • Chore services
  • Transportation
  • Personal care
  • Safety and well being
