Are you a high school student or recent graduate and curious about a career in the fire service? 

Milwaukee Fire Department Explorer Post # 875 is looking for students (ages 15-20) to join our post and have some fun while learning what firefighting is all about.  We provide everything that you need so all you have to do is show up ready to learn.  We pride ourselves on providing exciting, hands-on learning opportunities (under the watchful eyes of experienced Milwaukee Firefighters).

Participants will become familiar with performing firefighting tasks in actual firefighting equipment.  This unique opportunity is perfect for those who may be considering a career in the fire service.  The staff is composed of all ranks and includes members of Milwaukee Fire Department Special Teams, which include dive rescue, hazardous materials response, the Heavy Urban Rescue Team, and paramedics.

First time participants are asked to have a parent or guardian attend your first meeting with you.  Also, a $7.00 registration fee is required before participating.

Meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month and the following Saturday.
