Mayor Barrett Statement on Midwest Deal

Mayor Tom Barrett released the following statement today regarding news that Midwest Air Group, Inc. will be acquired by the TPG Capital investor group:

"I am optimistic that this deal will enable Midwest Airlines and Midwest Connect to continue as stand-alone airlines based in Milwaukee.  This new arrangement provides an excellent opportunity for Midwest to remain an engine for jobs and economic growth across our area.  It also provides great promise that our hometown airline will continue the high quality of customer service and the strong allegiance to our community that Milwaukee has come to know and love."
