Laws & Rules for Milwaukee County Government

Chapter 63 Wisconsin Statutes - provides the legal basis for the Milwaukee County Civil Service System and the rules that govern it. 
Civil Service Rules - The rules of the Civil Service Commission apply to all employees in the classified service of Milwaukee County except where these ordinances and/or civil service rules have been specifically modified or made non-applicable to members of certain bargaining units. In these cases, contracts with Milwaukee County provide for exception from or differences in the application of these ordinances and rules.
Chapter 17 - of the General Ordinances of Milwaukee County providing for standardization of wages, classification and employment practices in effect as of January 1, 2000.
