Milwaukee Fire Department to Raffle off Harley-Davidson Motorcycle as a Fundraising Initiative

WHAT:           Milwaukee Fire Department to raffle off 2008 FLHX Street Glide Anniversary Edition

WHEN:           Thursday-Sunday, June 26-July 6, 2008  

                        Noon – Midnight

WHERE:        Summerfest

                       Maier Festival Park

                       Raffle will take place between the Miller and Harley-Davidson Stages,

                        Westside of Grounds

DETAILS:      The Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) is selling raffle tickets for a Harley-Davidson,2008 FLHX Street Glide™ Anniversary Edition motorcycle. The proceeds from the raffle tickets, $20 each, will go toward the Milwaukee Fire Education Center Which makes the Survive Alive House and Project Staying Alive possible for Milwaukee-area children. Raffle tickets will be sold at various summer events throughout Milwaukee with a concentration on Summerfest, June 26-July 6, and the 105^th Harley Celebration, August 27-August 31.

To date, Milwaukee firefighters have sold 300 raffle tickets, in hopes to sell 5000 by September 13. On that date, the winner will be announced at the Firefighter Combat Challenge at Konkel Park Greenfield. The Harley-Davidson Motorcycle will be present at each event raffle tickets are sold.

We welcome the media to visit our location at Summerfest to help get the word out on a fundraising initiative that affects Milwaukee-area children. Interviews are available upon request and photo opportunities are encouraged.
