Fire Prevention Week-Billboard contest

Held every fall, this contest is open to all local elementary and middle school children.  It coincides with the National Fire Prevention Week "Great Escape Campaign."  Students make posters to be judged for the best message it gives on a given topic for Fire Prevention Week.  The top winner's poster made into a billboard.  There are other great prizes as well.  For more information, please contact bsmith@milfire.com.

Fire Prevention Week was October 8-12, 2007.  This year's theme was "A Test You Can't Afford to Fail."  Posters are judged on content, uniqueness, creativity, and interpretation of topic.  Posters are hand drawn rather than using computer graphics and made on 8 1/2 x 11" paper.  Crayons, colored pencils and markers can be used.
