Prevent Frozen Water Pipes and Water Meters

When temperatures are below zero for several days, water pipes and water meters exposed to cold air may freeze. Property owners are responsible for preventing this damage. Owners of vacant property should check pipes and if there is no heat in a building, contact the Milwaukee Water Works to arrange to have the water shut off.

Your City of Milwaukee Property Tax Payment

Want to avoid the parking challenges around City Hall? Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to:

  1. mail in their tax payments using the return remittance envelope enclosed with the tax bills, or
  2. enroll in the electronic funds transfer (EFT) installment payment plan, or
  3. pay their taxes in full using ePay in Full available on the internet.

Visit the Office of the City Treasurer web site for answers to frequently asked questions and more property tax information.

Winter Parking Regulations Through March 1, 2009

The Department of Public Works Parking Enforcement encourages City residents to follow the winter parking regulations to assist in the efficient and effective removal of snow and to protect the safety and welfare of all City residents during this winter season.
