Landuse Quarter Section Series

Updated: Every Monday Morning

The milwaukeecad.zip file contains the City of Milwaukee’s Landuse Quarter Section Series.  The zipped file includes the 445 quarter section based landuse maps (*.lu) and is bundled with the City’s quarter section index map(index.dgn) and the necessary font library(cityfont.rsc).

The files are distributed in the file format in which they are maintained - as MicroStation design files. For more information or help with MicroStation or to download the free MicroStation file viewer (Bentley View) go to www.bentley.com – see the ‘Products’ and ‘Learning’ buttons.

Aldermanic Districts

Updated: January 1, 2004

The ald2004.zip file contains Aldermanic District polygons that took effect on April 20, 2004 when the new council member take office. These districts were used for the Feb 2004 and April 2004 elections. Prior to April 20, 2004, the district boundaries for purposes of representation existed as found in the ald1992.zip file.

 

Corporate Boundary

The citylimit.zip file contains the City of Milwaukee Corporate Boundary. (Map projection file added 11/2007.)

   

Neighborhoods

Updated: January, 2007

The neighborhood.zip file contains neighborhood boundaries, as defined by the Milwaukee Neighborhood Identification Project.  The goal of the Neighborhood Identification Project is to define neighborhoods encompassing all of the residential areas in Milwaukee. (Map projection file added 10/2007.)

 

Parcel Outlines

Updated: August 22, 2008*

The parcelbase.zip file contains the City of Milwaukee parcel outlines.

* We are currently upgrading our parcelbase and its maintenance such that future updates can be made more frequently.  We have not yet completed the upgrade.  Parcel changes through 2007 are represented for the entire city.  We will continue to update this shapefile as our upgrade proceeds, until we reach a point when the entire city is current and updated on a regular basis.

 

Police Districts

Updated: November, 2007

The MPD_police_district.zip file contains the current MPD Police Districts.  These boundaries went into effect in November, 2007.

 

Streets

Updated: August 5, 2008

The DIME.zip file contains a graphic representation of the street centerline as well as attribute data for each official street including address ranges, street direction, street name and street type. Although most dime segments fall near the center of the right-of-way, it is not an accurate representation of street centerlines. It is a tool for obtaining street name and address information for streets within the city of Milwaukee. 

 

Voting Wards

Updated: August, 2008

 

The ward.zip file contains the current voting wards.  Polling place attribute information was updated in August, 2008.
