Welcome to Disease Control and Prevention (DCP)!
The DCP Division includes programs that address environmental health needs in the City of Milwaukee as well as programs that focus on prevention of communicable disease and control of disease spread in Milwaukee. DCP helps to assure healthy indoor and outdoor air, safe drinking water, responds with the Fire Department to Hazmat and other emergency incidents, and works to provide care and control the spread of diseases like tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases. DCP monitors disease (such as influenza) occurrence world-wide and plans appropriately in order to help prevent diseases on a local level.
