procedures or filling out paperwork? The Milwaukee Justice Center can help.
Lawyers, legal professionals and students are available to:
- Explain and answer questions about how the court works
- Help with paperwork
- Provide information on how to get a case scheduled
- Check paperwork before a court appearance
- Make referrals to other providers of civil legal aid or to social service agencies that might offer further help
Assistance is available on a first come, first served basis during clinic hours or by
appointment.

The Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic offers free legal advice
in 20-30 minute increments.
The Clinic will be closed the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day.

The Family Law Clinic

The Family Law Clinic is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (in Room G-9 of the Courthouse).
The Small Claims Clinic

The Small Claims Clinic is open Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (in Room G-9 of the Courthouse).

Appointments for assistance with family law paperwork can be made in person in Room 104P of the Courthouse, by phone at 278-2912, or by email (
ctimail@wicourts.gov). The staff that answers the phone and email can only schedule an appointment and will not be able to answer questions or provide assistance.
