IN THE COMMUNITY

Food Aid for Our Families in Troubled Times

A wide variety of low-cost food aid is available to Milwaukee County residents through Angel Food Ministries at 9235 W. Capitol Drive (lower level). It's like a super-low-cost grocery store, with each box of meats, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products made to your order. To see this month's menu and to find out how to order each month, CLICK HERE.

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief in communities throughout the United States. In 1994, Pastors Joe and Linda Wingo found their hearts going out to the families of many of the local families in Monroe, GA, affected by the recent industrial plant closings. On their back porch, the first Angel Food distribution fed 34 families. Over the next years, other churches wanted to be get involved, and Angel Food began feeding hundreds of families across the southeast. Now, Angel Food feeds over 500,000 families a month in 35 states.

To speak with someone about Angel Food distribution in Milwaukee, please called Pastor Laverne Ihm at (414) 393-1500 or (414) 755-8801.
