Keenan Central Health Clinic, often referred to as the "STD Clinic," provides STD/HIV related services to uninsured and underinsured residents of Milwaukee and surrounding communities. Services are provided free of charge to anyone who is at least 12 years of age.


Clinic Hours

Clinic services are offered on a first come, first served walk-in basis. Appointments are not accepted for STD screenings.

 

Two clinic sessions are offered daily, Monday through Friday. Clinic capacity is limited, so it is best to arrive at least 15 minutes early for clinic sessions. Please be aware that arriving early does not guarantee that you will receive services. For information on other STD testing resources in the Milwaukee area, click on Community Resources.

 


Keenan Central Health Clinic hours are as follows:

 

Mondays and Thursdays:

            11:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

            4:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

            8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

            12:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

 

Clinic schedule is subject to change.  Keenan Central Health Clinic is closed on weekends and on the following holidays:  New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday immediately following Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.

 


Clinic Services

A multi-disciplinary team of the City of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin and Federal employees serve clients at Keenan Central Health Clinic. Milwaukee Health Department Public Health Nurses, laboratory staff and administrative personnel provide clinic services. State and federal staff conduct epidemiological investigations and follow-up for patients who are known to have or are suspected of having syphilis, HIV, gonorrhea and Chlamydia.

 

Services are available on a walk-in basis include:

 

·        Screening, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases

·        Confidential HIV counseling and testing

·        Free condoms

·        Vaccinations against Hepatitis B (with full exam)

·        Risk reduction counseling

 

Appointments are available for

·        Confidential HIV counseling and testing
