Welcome to the Prospect/Farwell Neighborhood
Park Place to the north, Ogden Street to the south, Prospect Avenue to the east, Milwaukee River to the west.

Startup date: June 2006

Lead organization: Wisconsin Conservatory of Music

Key partners/organizations: Lakeside Senior Enrichment program at Chai Point, residents from the neighborhood and representatives of Milwaukee Catholic Home, St. John's on the Lake, Jewish Family Services, UWM, the Prospect Avenue Association and the Brady Street Business Association

Neighborhood priorities:

  • Social isolation
  • Access to information about activities and services
  • Pedestrian safety

Activities as of May 2009:

Senior "Extra" information and activity listings of interest to neighborhood seniors, distributed 4 times a year as an inset in the The Brady Street Business Association’s newsletter. 

Establishing Chai Point as the neighborhood gathering place, with its Senior Meal Program and enhanced activity programming.

Quarterly cultural & social events are co-hosted by several of the residential care facilities and are open to all neighborhood residents.
