What a truly fantastic achievement to be named the 2009 R.O.S.E. (Recognition of Significant Efforts) Award recipient by the National Recreation and Park Association. This is one of the premiere awards provided on a national level to recognize outstanding accomplishments by the individual, by the agency they represent, and the impact that both have on parks and recreation services in their community.

As a NRPA Board of Trustee, it was a privilege to be a part of the unanimous selection of you for this prestigious award. You should be extremely proud of this accomplishment, because it is indicative of the quality efforts and work you have extended in once again making the Milwaukee County Park System one of the premiere organizations in the nation.

Congratulation are also in order for the national marketing award that we have bestowed upon the Milwaukee County Park System. Again, this is a direct reflection on the continued growth and creativity that you, Jeff and your staff have implemented in getting the very best out of limited resources.

You and the Milwaukee County Park System have once again become the "Jewel of Milwaukee County", and have captured the attention of leaders around the nation, as well as internationally!

KUDOS to you and your staff…it will be a pleasure watching the October Award Ceremony, as well as having the Milwaukee County Park System vie for the Gold Medal Award.
